The university won three "bronze" medals at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions during its participation in the exhibition, among more than 1000 innovations from 35 countries, at the exhibition held during the period from April 9-13, 2025 in Switzerland.
The bronze medal-winning projects were a lightweight nanocomposite material for hard helmets, a machine for washing and drying dates, and an unmanned aerial vehicle for harvesting dates.
The university participated in the exhibition for the third time as part of the Ministry of Education's delegation, which this year included 161 inventors from 38 educational entities, competing in 13 scientific and innovative fields, with the aim of enhancing the university's role in supporting the research and development system, enabling its researchers to compete internationally, and keeping abreast of scientific developments globally.
The university pavilion participating in the exhibition presented a number of innovations developed by faculty members in vital fields such as industry and agriculture. Through this participation, the university seeks to highlight the efforts of the innovation system within it, open windows for knowledge cooperation with international organizations, and review a number of qualitative innovations and patents that express the university's ambition and are in line with the Kingdom's vision in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
