His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, inaugurated the activities of the annual exhibition "Amal" yesterday, as part of the university's efforts to promote mental health among its students and employees, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university, with the participation of a number of health colleges and related authorities, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President for Financial and Technical Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saawi, His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, and His Excellency the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Walid bin Saleh Al-Battah in the main lobby of the university city.
He also inspected the exhibition, which included 34 corners for awareness and guidance activities on mental health concepts and promotion, as well as lectures, consultations, scientific programs and various activities with the participation of male and female students and faculty members.
During his tour of the exhibition, Al-Sharekh was briefed on the university's efforts in promoting mental health and its scientific and research activities in this field, after the university achieved 100% in the index of the National Center for Mental Health Promotion.
His Excellency the UQU President also launched the programs and activities of the "Ertaqa" initiative in its next phase, with the aim of promoting mental health concepts and launching many initiatives to raise the quality of life within the university environment.
