His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qassim University and the National Center for Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases "Waqa", in the presence of HE Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, HE President of Qassim University Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, and HE CEO of the National Center for Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases, Engineer Ayman bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, at the Emirate Office.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, and the Director General of the National Center "Waqa" branch in Qassim, Dr. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Misnad, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Hani Al-Fahid, and the Supervisor of the Knowledge Exchange and Scientific Events Department, Dr. Mashari Al-Enezi.

This memorandum aims to keep pace with the requirements of the sustainable development process in the Kingdom's agricultural fields and to activate joint cooperation between the two parties that meets their common goals in the academic, scientific, research, training, development, community service and other fields that promote positive partnership in serving the community and the nation.

This memorandum also serves cooperation between researchers and technicians in both parties to the memorandum to conduct joint projects. In the scientific, research, training, development, and community service fields, and encouraging the exchange of academic, scientific, research, and training visits between the two parties to the memorandum in support of its fields.
