His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, sponsored today, Sunday, September 29, 2024, Al-Qassim University's celebration of the 94th National Day. The university held the event at the Conference Center in the University City, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Fahad Al-Shaleh, His Excellency the Vice President for Financial and Technical Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Saowie, His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, His Excellency the Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Majed bin Fdhi Al-Enezi, His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Walid bin Saleh Al-Batah, and the deans of colleges, deanships, university students, and affiliates.

His Highness the Emir of Al-Qassim Region expressed his happiness at sponsoring this ceremony, which is organized by Al-Qassim University on the occasion of the National Day, this great occasion on which we remember the bravery of our ancestors and the efforts of our leaders in building this generous nation.

His Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim region said that celebrating the National Day is an embodiment of loyalty and belonging, and an affirmation of the continuation of the development and giving march under our wise leadership, may God strengthen it.

His Highness explained that education represents the most important pillar in this journey, and Qassim University plays a prominent role in preparing future generations of the nation's sons to be capable of achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

His Highness expressed his thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this ceremony, wishing everyone further progress and prosperity, and that God protect our leadership and our nation, and perpetuate upon us the blessings of security and stability.

For his part, His Excellency the President of the University affirmed during his speech at the ceremony the importance of this national occasion that brings happiness and joy on this blessed day, marking the ninety-fourth anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - where the founding King and his men, may God have mercy on them, exerted their efforts and souls to reclaim the land and build the glory of the great, secure nation.

He added: "On this day, the epic was completed, the banner of monotheism was raised, and wishes were fulfilled. Afterward, the journey of development and modernization, laid down by His Majesty, God have mercy on him, and followed by his sons, the kings after him, began, until we reached this flourishing era, in which the Kingdom has become a place of leadership, precedence, and global competition.".

Al-Sharih said: “Whenever we remember this long journey that ended with the unification of the country, the development of capabilities, and the building of people, and the embodiment of images of cohesion and brotherhood, we recall the inspiring phrase from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, as he says: ”Our glorious National Day is a dear and renewed occasion in the pages of the proud nation, rooted in the conscience of the great Saudi people“.”.

The President of Qassim University pointed out that our homeland, praise be to God, is living in prosperity and looking to the future with steadfast steps and promising visions. Our wise government has provided the means that enable the sons and daughters of the nation to keep pace with progress by giving them the opportunity to learn and develop in environments that compete with global universities, in response to the wise vision that we all follow in this noble homeland.

The University of Qassim is confirmed to be fulfilling its role in research, education, and development, and promoting sustainable development, as it has succeeded in achieving advanced positions in global rankings, forming external partnerships and internal agreements, and opening avenues for cooperation with many entities, based on its distinguished reputation in the scientific community locally, regionally, and globally. He clarified that this would not have been possible without the success granted by God, followed by the great support that our wise government provides to the education sectors and positive interaction.

The university president, on his behalf and on behalf of all university faculty, staff, male and female students, extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, asking God to protect them and preserve them as a resource for the nation and for Muslims. He also extended congratulations, thanks, and appreciation to His Royal Highness [the implied Crown Prince] on the occasion and for his motivating support, sound guidance, and blessed care for the university and its activities, and to His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, for his keenness and guidance.

His Excellency also thanked His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, Professor Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, for his efforts in advancing education in the Kingdom in general, and for his directives and visits to the university in particular. He also thanked all university staff for their efforts in celebrating this occasion, asking God Almighty to perpetuate the banner of glory for us, protect our country from all harm, grant it all goodness, and perpetuate the blessing of security and stability upon it, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Answering.

The celebration included a visual presentation of the university's most prominent achievements, a national operetta, a national poem, and the Saudi Ardah dance. Additionally, several members of the university council and department managers whose terms of appointment ended during the 2023-2024 academic year were honored. The “Proud Nation” initiative was also launched, which includes a package of national programs and activities aimed at strengthening national unity and pride in the homeland and its accomplishments.

His Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim region also inaugurated the cinematic exhibition «We Dream and We Achieve,» which features 28 pavilions. These pavilions cover the history of the first, second, and third Saudi states, the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the biography of King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – and visual displays of the Kingdom's kings – may God have mercy on them – up to the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them both. In addition, the exhibition highlights the achievements of Saudi Vision 2030, national projects, and university accomplishments.
