His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim Region, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the twenty-first batch of male and female graduates and expected graduates from Qassim University for the academic year 1445 AH, for the degrees of diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctorate, on Wednesday, 15/5/2024, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, university vice presidents, directors of government agencies in the region, graduates and their families, in the main lobby of the university city. His Highness the Emir of Qassim Region congratulated the university's male and female graduates on this occasion, expressing his happiness to share this happy occasion, which they were looking forward to with great eagerness as it represents the beginning of a new stage in their life journey after they have learned from science in a university that is one of the distinguished universities with its scientific and practical outputs and achievements at the national and international levels. He prayed to God Almighty to keep this country safe and secure under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - towards more excellence and prosperity for our country in various fields, and contribute to the realization of the blessed vision of Saudi Vision 2030. The ceremony included the royal peace, the Holy Quran, the march of the graduates, and a visual presentation of the university's achievements during the year. For his part, His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, said in his speech during the ceremony: It is a great pleasure to gather under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Emir of Qassim to celebrate the graduation of the 21st batch of university students. Al-Sharekh added: One of God's countless blessings is that we live in a safe and stable country that encourages creativity, encourages knowledge and paves the way for science, and the graduates that universities boast every year are proof of this, under the shade of a wise leadership with a wise vision and an inspiring vision that aims to build and invest in human beings to succeed locally and compete globally. We praise God Almighty and thank him for this, and the patronage of His Highness the Amir and sharing the joy of graduation with his children is a witness to this trend, so thanks and appreciation to His Highness. Al-Sharekh congratulated the male and female students on their graduation and congratulated them on their success after years of hard work, saying: You have reached the goal, achieved your wishes and obtained what you wanted, praise and thanks be to God, and I ask him to grant you success wherever you are, and I recommend you to remain loyal to the university that qualified you and the professors who taught you, because loyalty is a noble characteristic and you are worthy of it, and he recommended them: In this regard, I cannot fail to extend my sincere congratulations to the families and friends of the graduates, especially the honorable parents, asking Allah to bless them in their sons and daughters, and to reform, guide and succeed them in their lives. His Excellency the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Abdulrahman Abu Al-Hajj, explained that the total number of male and female graduates for the twenty-first batch reached 10309, including 3194 male and 6198 female graduates in 121 bachelor's degree programs and 34 diploma programs. The number of postgraduate graduates reached 267 PhD graduates in 13 programs and 650 master's degree graduates in 99 programs. Abulhaj emphasized that the graduates are the hope of this country in the glorious future, saying: "There is no civilization without education, no education without security, no security without a homeland, no homeland without wise leadership, and no progress and development without its youth, who are the country's ambassadors, sons and pride," he said, praying for success and success for them in their scientific and practical future. Then students Mohammed Al-Mutawa and Rayan Al-Enezi delivered the graduates' speech on behalf of their classmates at the ceremony: "This day is a day of joy and happiness, ambition, hope and promise. We stand before you on this joyful day on our own behalf and on behalf of our fellow graduates, to express our feelings, because yesterday our story began, and today is its conclusion, and between that beginning and this conclusion. Yesterday, our story began, and today, we have reached the end of it, and between that beginning and this end, we have reached the depths of science and knowledge, here we are, and we have achieved success, so praise be to God first and last, and thanks be to Him, outwardly and inwardly. In a humanitarian gesture, His Highness the Emir of Qassim Region handed over the graduation certificate to the family of Saud bin Manahi Al-Shammari, who passed away before defending his thesis in the Doctor of Philosophy program in literary studies, after granting him the graduation document. Tomorrow, Thursday, for three days, the university will witness successive graduation ceremonies for female students, distributed according to the different colleges of the university during the period from 16 to 18/5/2024, in the main lobby of the university.
