The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Qassim University announced the acceptance of more than sixteen thousand male and female students to join the university for the new academic year in various colleges and specializations.
For his part, Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, clarified that the method for male and female students to apply for the academic year was online through the Deanship's website, without the need to send documents via express mail.
Dr. Al-Ahmad explained that the sorting process for all male and female applicants for admission was carried out according to two criteria
Standard 1: Weighted Average. This is calculated as follows:
(High school GPA × 0.30) + (General Aptitude Test score × 0.30) + (Achievement Test score × 0.40), which is a special requirement for admission to:
First: All female students wishing to enroll in the university.
Second: Students wishing to enroll in the preparatory year, the College of Agriculture, and the scientific departments in the Colleges of Science and Arts.
Standard Two: Equivalent Ratio, calculated as follows:
(High school certificate average × 0.50) + (General Aptitude Test score × 0.50)
This is a condition for acceptance of students applying to all faculties except the preparatory year, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the scientific departments in the Faculties of Science and Arts.
He added that the sorting process was automated out of a desire to achieve equality in the admission process and to ensure fairness.,
confirming that a student can be upgraded to their higher preference during the application period if seats are available, adding that the university has opened a number of departments this year in some colleges and at various locations, which has created an opportunity to accept a larger number of female students on a full-time basis and reduced admission to the distance learning system. He pointed out that a Twitter account has been dedicated to responding to inquiries, and mentioned that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration previously conducted field visits to male and female students in educational centers in the region to explain the admission mechanism, procedures, and the process of selecting preferences when the admission portal is open, and to guide students in choosing the appropriate specialization.
