The University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, launched today, Tuesday, 13 Safar 1445 A.H., the "Ambition, Vision and Future" program for new students for the academic year 1445 A.H. For his part, the UQU President welcomed the new students, expressing his happiness that thousands of new students join the university every year, and his hope that they will be diligent and take advantage of the distinguished professors available at the university in all disciplines, as well as the activities and programs provided by the university that reflect on the final achievement, asking Allah Almighty to fulfill their aspirations and those of the wise leadership - may Allah protect them - in the renaissance of the nation.
Al-Dawood said to the students: I urge you to be diligent and take advantage of what your university provides for you, and from your study seats you will, God willing, achieve your goals and objectives in order to contribute to the construction and development of your country under its wise leadership, may God protect it.
He pointed out that the Deanship of Student Affairs has introduced the student's skill record in which all the student's activities held at the university are recorded, which will have an impact after graduation in providing him with the opportunity for employment, stressing that the university is proud of the achievements it has achieved, the most important of which are the renewal of academic accreditation as the third university in the Kingdom, the points of excellence in the field of research, technology in the academic level and the university's entry into the Shanghai classification and other achievements achieved by the grace of Allah, then the efforts and unlimited support from our wise leadership - may Allah protect them. His Highness the Emir of the region, His Highness the Deputy Emir, and the Minister of Education.
The exhibitions accompanying the event included 22 booths, including: Student Fund, Grants and Expatriate Care Department, Specialized Student Clubs, Central Student Clubs, Deanship of Student Affairs, Skill Registry, Student Training and Development Unit, Talent and Innovation Unit, Student Guidance and Counseling Department, Martyrs' Children Service Office, Disability Services Unit, Applied Colleges, Postgraduate Studies, Admission and Registration, Student Activity Department, Health First for Tobacco Control, Building a Future for Drugs Awareness, Digital Entrepreneurship Center, a corner to display the university achievements and technical services at the university.
The accompanying dialogue session also aimed to strengthen the link between all members of the university community and provide guidance and support to new students by discussing and explaining the available educational and student services, with the participation of His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmad, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ajlan, Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Abdulrahman Abu Al-Hajj, and Dean of the Applied College, Dr. Khaled Al-Mayman, which addressed an explanation of the educational and academic services at the university, an overview of the admission and registration processes and related procedures, and the role of student affairs and student activities
The three-day training program covers a number of lectures, including: Guidance for excellence in university study, university student services, student activities and their impact on the university student's excellence, basic skills in e-learning, skill record and its importance for the university student, volunteering and its impact on character building, and the journey from idea to innovation.
