His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim Region, inaugurated the "Qassim Intelligence" initiative, which is supervised by the Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud Chair for Artificial Intelligence at Qassim University and funded by businessman Abdullah Al Othaim, in the presence of HE the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Daoud, at his office in the Emirate today.
His Highness praised the objectives of the initiative, stressing that this scientific chair contributes to supporting artificial intelligence research and achieving future goals to meet the university's ambition and achieve innovation by encouraging scientific research in all specialized fields, hoping that the chair will enrich the activity in the field of scientific research and adopt initiatives that contribute to providing sustainable solutions to society, economy and environment, in fulfillment of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Through this initiative, the university seeks to spread knowledge and highlight the role of artificial intelligence and its applications in various fields, as well as create a vibrant community with sufficient knowledge of artificial intelligence that can contribute to providing solutions and innovations towards a prosperous economy for the region, through the use of artificial intelligence and its applications.
The initiative also organizes 15 training courses and workshops, five conferences, forums, scientific symposiums, two technical competitions, scientific materials, seven grants to support innovation and research, and 10 research partnerships.
This initiative is part of the university's efforts, represented by the Dr. Faisal bin Meshal Chair for Artificial Intelligence, to promote qualitative practices and support scientific research in the fields of artificial intelligence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
