The university achieved first place in the education and training sector, distinguishing itself in the innovation stage, and ranked seventh among all government agencies and sectors in the Kingdom in the Digital Government Transformation Index for 2022. This was announced during the Digital Government Forum held yesterday, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in Riyadh.
His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, received the honorary shield from His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Suwayan, during the Digital Government Authority's announcement of the digital transformation measurement results for 2022.
The Digital Government Forum aims to contribute to the development of digital government, in line with global trends in digital transformation and the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, by enabling government entities to determine their commitment to the basic standards of digital transformation and to understand the extent of their performance development annually to achieve an integrated digital government.
Achieving first place in the Education and Training sector, which includes more than 36 entities, is a new accomplishment for Qassim University. The university is the only one in the sector to achieve the innovation stage, after jumping from 27th place to 7th place among all government entities and sectors in the Kingdom in the 2022 Government Digital Transformation Measurement.
