Qassim University has launched the admission portal for the upcoming academic year 1436-1437 AH. Since last Monday, it has been receiving admission applications for the university colleges spread across Buraydah city and all governorates and centers in the region through its website. The application period will continue until noon on Wednesday, 14/9/1436 AH. .
The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at the university has published detailed information and instructions on admissions, its mechanisms, the application process, available specializations, the required conditions for male and female applicants, and written entrance exams for some specializations on the deanship's website.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Professor Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Saif, confirmed that the university has expanded significantly in recent years, with 38 colleges offering over 150 specializations for both genders across all cities and governorates in the region.
Dr. Al-Seif revealed that the number of seats available for admission for the upcoming academic year for both genders exceeds 16,000 seats, as approved by the University Council. He pointed out that there are a number of specializations that witness high competition for admission, foremost among them is the preparatory year, as it is the main gateway to colleges of “health, medicine, engineering, architecture, planning, and computer science.” Also, Sharia and Physical Education for male students, and Psychology and Kindergarten for female students, as well as English Language and Islamic Studies are among the in-demand specializations that witness intense competition during admission.
Dr. Al Saif mentioned that the current number of male and female university students exceeds 60,000, not including this year's graduates, who numbered over 8,000 male and female graduates. It is expected that after the end of admissions for the new year, the number will exceed 70,000 male and female students.
Dr. Al-Saif pointed out that the number of male and female applicants has reached ”20,000” admission requests so far, and the Deanship will work on announcing the results before the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday, God willing.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the University President and the Vice President for Academic Affairs for their interest and follow-up on the university's admission process, noting that the university adopted 100% electronic admissions this year%, eliminating the need to send official documents for male and female students. The Deanship relied on the ”Yaseer” service to retrieve data, followed by the ”Maqbool” service from the Ministry of Education to complete the admission confirmation stages, wishing everyone success.
