The University, represented by the College of Dentistry, held the annual scientific research day for the College of Dentistry at the university, which is held in cooperation with the Saudi section of the World Organization for Dental Research on March 28-29, 2022 at the University Medical City Theater, and includes research presentations by the college students and internship doctors.
The events include the presentation of 75 original research papers in various branches of dentistry prepared by fifth-year students and internship doctors at the college, under the supervision of the college's faculty members, most of which are ready to be published in various scientific journals. On the sidelines of the events, lectures will be held by a group of speakers from inside and outside the college to enhance the research capabilities of students and internship doctors and present employment opportunities and options available to graduates of the college.
For his part, Dr. Zafer Al-Asmari, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University, explained that the aim of this event is to be an appropriate platform for the college students and internship doctors to highlight their distinguished research, exchange ideas, strengthen the bonds of fellowship and cooperation between them, and create a climate for them to launch into wider horizons of research excellence and creativity at the local and international levels, thanking UQU President for sponsoring this event and for his continuous support for internship doctors and students and everything that would advance and develop the university.
Dr. Murad Al-Rashidi, Head of the Student Research and Presentation Unit and the Internship Supervision Unit, explained that the event was organized within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between the college and the Saudi section of the World Dental Research Organization and aims to enhance and enrich the research activity in the field of dentistry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
