The university, represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, concluded the "Intellectual Immunization... Diagnosis and Treatment" program, which lasted for two semesters in two phases. In the first phase, 20 awareness sessions were held, benefiting 1100 male and female high school students preparing for university education and first-year students in the university's colleges. These sessions were presented by a select group of faculty members and specialists in intellectual awareness issues.
This program, in its first phase, relied on a scientific methodology based on a field survey to identify common intellectual issues among a sample of high school students preparing for university education, and then diagnose intellectual, value-based, and conceptual deficiencies in those issues in preparation for developing specialized preventive programs for those issues.
The second phase included a package of training programs and awareness meetings, prepared by specialists to address intellectual issues comprehensively. Twelve diverse programs were presented, benefiting approximately 650 high school students, as well as first-level students from the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
The second phase addressed several vital topics, including the origins and threats to stability, intellectual immunity: its objective and purpose, major jurisprudential guardianship: its entitlements and effects, enhancing intellectual security, in addition to the danger of rumors and ways to combat them, the jurisprudence of religiosity that establishes moderation, the necessity of intellectual security, the preliminaries of extremism, and intellectual immunity in light of the Prophetic Sunnah.
