The test aims to measure the development of the achievement level of students of the different stages of the College of Medicine, and is considered one of the means of formative evaluation of the students, and the test measures the target competencies of medical graduates according to SaudiMEDs.
The test, which is designed and supervised by the university's College of Medicine, includes a set of questions on all the information expected for medical graduates. The College of Medicine at Qassim University prepares special questions for this test, with the aim of measuring students' ability to use the information and not just memorize it.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amrou, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the university, explained that the feedback from the test contributes to identifying the strengths of the educational curriculum of the faculties of medicine, and also shows the areas that need more attention, and the results are also analyzed so that each student can identify the efficiency of his absorption of each of the contents of the curriculum and its various areas.
He pointed out that the first session of the test was held at the university in May 2012 with the participation of only 3 medical colleges, then the number increased in November 2012 to reach the participation of 12 medical colleges from several Saudi universities, noting that the total number of students who took the test with the current 13th session reached more than 40,000 students over the course of all the sessions of the test.
