College of Medicine concludes the 13th session of the Achievement Level Measurement Test for students of the Kingdom's medical colleges

The University, represented by the College of Medicine, in collaboration with the Deanship of Information Technology at the University, concluded the twelfth session of the Achievement Level Test on Wednesday, 07/26/1442 AH. Twenty-one colleges of medicine from across the Kingdom participated remotely. The test aims to measure the achievement level development of students in different stages of medical college and is considered one of the formative assessment tools for students. The test measures the targeted competencies for medical college graduates according to (SaudiMEDs).

The exam, designed and supervised by the College of Medicine at the university, includes a set of questions covering all the information expected of medical school graduates. The College of Medicine at Qassim University prepares specific questions for this exam with the aim of measuring students' ability to use information, not just acquire it.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amro, Dean of the College of Medicine at the university, explained that feedback from the exam contributes to identifying the strengths of the medical college curriculum and also highlights areas that need increased attention. The results are also analyzed so that each student individually can recognize their proficiency in understanding the different contents and fields of the curriculum.

Al-Amro noted that the first session of the test was held at the university in May 2012 with the participation of only 3 colleges of medicine. The number increased in November 2012 to include 12 colleges of medicine from several Saudi universities. He pointed out that the total number of students who have taken the test up to the current 13th session exceeds 40,000 male and female students over all test sessions.
