The Saudi International Conference on Medical Education, organized by the University, represented by the Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the Saudi Society for Medical Education, will conclude this morning, Thursday, 5/2/1436 AH, at the King Khalid Civilization Center in Buraydah.
The workshops held on Wednesday morning on the sidelines of the Saudi International Conference on Medical Education in Qassim witnessed a scientific discussion on professional medical education and the role of medical students towards society. The workshops also included lectures on study skills for medical students, challenges and strategies for achieving excellence in medical education, and current trends in assessing clinical competence.
The head of the media committee of the Saudi International Conference on Medical Education, Mr. Abdulrahman Hammouda, said that the most prominent of these lectures will be held under the title of e-learning, and the definition of the core competencies of the College of Medicine.He added that the conclusion of the conference will witness a workshop titled Ten Steps to Develop a Medical Logic Unit in an Integrated Ecosystem.
In a press statement yesterday, Hammouda added that the Saudi International Conference on Medical Education witnessed a wide participation of those interested and researchers in the field of medical education, from different regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the main participants from Europe, North America, Australia and the Arab Gulf countries, noting the patronage of His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Khaled bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, which reflects the interest of the university administration in scientific research, noting that the number of participants in the conference exceeded (1200) participants, expressing his hope that positive recommendations and results will be made for the conference to advance medical education in the Kingdom and reach advanced ranks globally.
The head of the media committee pointed out the importance of organizing the conference after two years at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, stressing that Alfaisal University will continue the good organization of the conference in its next session, especially since it is one of the advanced universities with excellence in organizing and hosting local, regional and international events, thanking those responsible for the conference in its current session, in particular, the head of the organizing committee, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Qassim University, Dr. Hani Al-Shubaily, and the head of the scientific committee, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghasham.
