On Wednesday, 25/3/1442 A.H., the University, represented by the College of Engineering in Anizah, held a cooperation agreement with the branch of the Ministry of Housing in the Qassim region, signed by the Dean of the College of Engineering in Anizah, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Attiyah, and the Assistant Director General of the Ministry of Housing Branch, Engineer Marzouq Ali Al-Harbi, to enhance cooperation between the two parties in a number of fields to ensure more social and national services for the people of the region.
The university is the first educational institution in the region to sign a cooperation agreement with the branch of the Ministry of Housing in Qassim, as part of the university's efforts to enhance joint work between it and all entities. The signing was held in the presence of the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Obayeb, the University Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khaled Al-Harbi, Engineer Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Murshid, Director General of the branch of the Ministry of Housing in Qassim, and the Supervisor of the University's Southern Branch, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharekh, and a number of college employees and employees of the Housing Department in Qassim.
The agreement included several clauses in the field of training college students "summer and cooperative training" under the supervision of the branch staff in all projects of the Ministry of Housing as agreed upon by both parties, after the college coordinates with the competent authorities regarding training, and cooperates to raise capabilities and skills, in addition to joint training and development programs such as courses, workshops, seminars and others, as well as exchanging technical consultations in common fields according to the policies and regulations of the two parties.
The agreement also aimed to benefit from the expertise and human competencies of the faculty members, facilitate the college's capabilities to hold relevant events and awareness and guidance programs in accordance with the policies and regulations of the two parties, as well as benefit from the results of relevant research and studies, and student graduation projects at the college to serve the Qassim Housing Branch.
Through this agreement, the college seeks to increase cooperation with the branch of the Ministry of Housing in the region due to its specialization and expertise in the academic and training field, while the branch aims to contribute to raising the efficiency of its employees in the academic and training field in order to achieve more successes that support the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
