University receives national accreditation for digital certification

Qassim University has been accredited by the National Digital Certification Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) as a government certification service provider and is the first among other Saudi universities to be accredited in digital certification,

This step enables the university to benefit from the services of the National Center for Digital Certification and issue digital certificates to the beneficiaries of its e-services, and to activate digital certification services such as identity verification, electronic signature and data encryption, and to address the shortcomings represented by the difficulty of ascertaining the identity of the parties dealing electronically and the ability to detect modifications in the data format.

The establishment of a digital certification center at the university came in line with the decisions issued regarding the transition to electronic transactions, and to meet the urgent need for digital certification processes.
