The Deanship of Student Affairs at Qassim University organized a reception ceremony for new students in Hall "A" in the presence of the University President, Dr. Khaled bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi. The ceremony aims to introduce new students to the regulations and instructions governing studies and tests that concern their academic future and the services provided by the university to its male and female students, in addition to responding to their questions and inquiries. The UQU President explained the educational systems to the students and made them feel the importance of joining the university and urged them to continue their hard work and diligence.
The UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tami, also addressed a speech in which he urged students to persevere in their scientific achievement and be keen on their academic future, saying: "Brother student, you are going through a new experience in your scientific life and putting your foot on a higher threshold in higher education and the stage needs effort and perseverance, stressing that all colleges and the deanship are striving to serve the student.
In addition, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saawi, the Vice Dean of the Deanship, Dr. Ali Al-Saif, the Dean of Educational Services, Dr. Faisal Al-Jasser, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Khaled Bani Al-Harbi, held an open meeting with students and answered their questions and inquiries about everything related to their university studies and what they need at the beginning of their first academic year and answered their questions and inquiries.
For his part, UQU President Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi launched the application guide of the Deanship of Student Affairs "Sa'ed" on smart devices. The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Sharida, explained that in order to take advantage of the technical development of smart devices, this program was introduced to serve the university students and contains many student services such as the university student guide, rate calculation, class schedules, study maps and others, indicating that this application can be downloaded from the "Apple Store" free of charge.
It is noteworthy that the Deanship of Student Affairs formed several committees to organize and arrange this ceremony, during which a file containing a gift from the Deanship of Student Affairs, a CD containing information about the university, and brochures containing information of interest to university students was distributed.
