The university, represented by the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, held a scientific lecture today, Tuesday, corresponding to 17/6/1441 AH, titled "Evidence of Climate Change in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia... Wadi Al-Rummah as a Model." The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Dughairi, Professor of Geomorphology and Remote Sensing Technologies, and Head of the Geography Department at the university. More than 200 male and female students, and a number of faculty members from the university, attended the lecture.
This lecture comes as part of the University's Scientific Enrichment Program. The lecture discussed the technical aspects that have demonstrated evidence of climate change in the Qassim region as an example, defining the main sources of Wadi Al-Rummah, its tributaries, and its valleys, as well as some of the environmental changes that have occurred in the valley.
Al-Dughayri recommended, at the conclusion of his lecture, using modern technologies to avoid environmental problems arising from individual planning without the involvement of specialists in aspects of analyzing spatial phenomena such as valleys.
