The university, represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research, in cooperation with the international publisher (Nature Publishing Group), organized a training course titled «Academic Writing and Scientific Publishing Skills,» which was held on June 3-4, 1441 AH, in the university city's medical clinics theater, and benefited 150 male and female students.
The course aimed to develop students' scientific research skills, as its themes discussed academic writing skills, the foundations that must be followed for writing a scientific paper, scientific publishing ethics, mechanisms for selecting appropriate scientific journals, in addition to mechanisms for communicating with scientific journal editors, dealing with reviewers' comments, and meeting publication requirements.
For his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, Dr. Mansour Al-Shareeda, explained that this course comes within the framework of the courses offered by the Deanship of Scientific Research to develop scientific research among university faculty members, especially male and female students. He pointed out that the international publisher is considered one of the most important entities concerned with scientific research and publication in high-ranking journals, and the provision of research services.
