Open admission and registration for high school graduates

The university announced the opening of admissions and registration for male and female high school graduates wishing to enroll in one of its colleges for a bachelor's degree, for Saudis and non-Saudis (internal scholarship students) for the new academic year 1441 AH. This will be available starting from 12:00 PM on Monday, 14/10/1440 AH, until 10:00 AM on Sunday, 20/10/1440 AH, for all colleges and specializations at the university. It will be accessible through the university's electronic portal during this period.

Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, Dean of Admissions and Registration at the university, explained that the application process will be entirely electronic through the Admissions and Registration Deanship's link. Applicants will access the admission application and enter their national identification number (for Saudis only). They will then click the confirmation button, which directs them to the terms and conditions page. From there, a code will be sent to the applicant's mobile phone, after which they will complete the admission application details, most importantly by entering their preferences. The remaining data will be retrieved from relevant authorities.

Al-Ahmad pointed out that the applicant can then follow up on the application through the website by entering their national ID number and the secret code they set when filling out the application. The applicant can also access and modify their preferences during the admission period. He explained that applicants have been guided to important links that include a bulletin on the university's admission mechanism, the most important conditions and available specializations, the sorting mechanism, and the mechanism for determining the track and specialization after the preparatory year, in addition to another link that includes determining the actual study location using the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Confirming that the applicant can, if needed, contact the Deanship of Admissions and Registration via the announced numbers, as well as via WhatsApp at the numbers: (0163012818 / 0163012803 /0163012823), or through the official Deanship of Admission and Registration Twitter account, or through the "Tawasul" service on its website. .

The Dean of Admissions and Registration emphasized that the applicant bears all legal consequences if they do not continuously check the website to monitor the status of their application and then accept their specialization within 48 hours of nomination, otherwise their application will be considered void. If there are available seats, an upgrade may be possible, but it is expected to be on a small scale due to the limited number of vacant seats. As for female students, they will be directly accepted in one batch to facilitate admission procedures and to consider the student's privacy in ensuring they obtain a seat and are accepted at a campus near them.

Al-Ahmad explained that the sorting process for all male and female applicants for admission to the university is done automatically according to two criteria. The first criterion is the weighted percentage, which is calculated as follows:
(High school GPA × 0.30) + (General Aptitude Test score × 0.30) + (Achievement Test score × 0.40), which is a requirement for admission for all female students wishing to enroll in the university, as well as male students wishing to enroll in the preparatory year, the College of Agriculture, and scientific departments in the Colleges of Science and Arts.
The second criterion is the equivalent ratio, which is calculated as follows:
(High school GPA × 0.50) + (General Aptitude Test Score × 0.50), which is a condition for admission for other students.

"Al-Ahmad" added that the sorting process will be fully automated to achieve equality in the admission process and to ensure fairness, which the deanship has undertaken. He noted that the university will open a number of new specializations that have been introduced this year, including a diploma in Cybersecurity at the community colleges of Buraidah and Unaizah for male and female students, as well as allowing admission to the History and Geography specializations at the College of Science and Arts in Buraidah. He added that in line with the Ministry of Education's policy, admission to the Kindergarten specialization at all university branches has been suspended this year, as has admission to the Distance Learning system and the Basic Education specializations.
