Is an internship a requirement for graduation?
Yes, obtaining an internship is one of the conditions for obtaining a graduation certificate.
How long is the training and how many hours of training?
Duration of practical training: Six months (480 training hours) divided into two phases, with each phase lasting three months (240 training hours). It can be divided (in case of diversity in training activities). Training hours: The average training week = 4 hours x 5 days = 20 training hours, and the intermediate diploma requires the completion of six months of training (480 training hours) and the associate diploma requires three months of training (240 training hours).
What is the requirement to start an internship?
- Enrollment requirement for applied training: Passing the English language courses at the first level.
- The student must take preparatory courses in the areas of soft skills (e.g: Communicating with others - resume preparation - personal interview - report writing).
What areas are available for internships and where can you intern?
The internship takes place in the student's specialty or in the general area of the student's specialty. You can intern in all organizations related to your field of specialization.
Can the training be offset by other activities?
Yes, you can offset the training with various other activities:
- Having a job in your field while studying for at least 6 months, volunteering, self-employment, or freelancing.
Passing approved training courses in the specialty, which is equivalent to a maximum of one month of training, or by passing professional professional certificates in your specialty or in your general field other than the college's curriculum, which is equivalent to a maximum of two months.
Participation in events, initiatives, competitions, exhibitions and other engagements related to your general field, which is equivalent to a maximum of one internship month.
Can I apply for an internship myself?
Yes, you can offset the training with various other activities:
- Having a job in your field while studying for at least 6 months, volunteering, self-employment, or freelancing.
Passing approved training courses in the specialty, which is equivalent to a maximum of one month of training, or by passing professional professional certificates in your specialty or in your general field other than the college's curriculum, which is equivalent to a maximum of two months.
Participation in events, initiatives, competitions, exhibitions and other engagements related to your general field, which is equivalent to a maximum of one internship month.
Can I intern at an organization during evening hours?
You can practice in the evenings and sign a pledge to do so.
Does the college offer internship opportunities?
Yes, depending on what is available, training opportunities may be provided for some students through cooperation with different entities through partnerships or cooperation agreements.
Can I combine more than one activity to complete my practicum?
Yes, you can, for example: You can take accredited courses equivalent to one month of training, participate in volunteer work equivalent to two months, and intern at an organization for 3 months, so you may have 6 months of training.
When can I take the internship? Is it during school or on vacation?

Are professional certificates accredited by Hadaf equivalent?
Yes, professional certificates accredited by HADAF other than what is offered at the college are equivalent to a maximum of two months of training.

Yes, practicing self-employment is equivalent to the equivalent training hours up to a maximum of 6 months, for more details about self-employment, contact the Self-Employment Unit at the college.
