Overview
Pharmaceutical chemistry combines biological, physical, and computational sciences to improve human health by designing safer and more effective pharmaceuticals. The department focuses on the study of molecular structure, drug effect and development, and the discovery of natural products with therapeutic properties. The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology at the College of Pharmacy at Qassim University is a prominent academic and research unit, with an elite group of faculty members who are actively involved in education and research supported by prestigious scientific organizations.
Objectives :
Goal 1: Ensure the quality of education and achieve excellence in pharmacy specialization

Educational goals:
1- Providing students with basic knowledge in the design, development, and analysis of pharmaceuticals.
2- Understanding the relationship between molecular structure, pharmacokinetics and toxicity.
3- Acquire scientific research skills in the fields of natural products, organic pharmaceuticals, and micro-pharmaceuticals.
4- Enhancing the ability to apply chemical and biological concepts in the discovery of new drugs and optimization of existing drugs.
