Overview

The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology was established in 2005, along with the establishment of the College of Pharmacy at Qassim University. Pharmacology includes the study of the physiological, biochemical and pharmacological effects of drugs, their mechanism of action, uses, side effects and contraindications on the human body. Toxicology is concerned with the study of the toxic and harmful effects of drugs, chemicals and pollutants on various body systems. The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology works to provide clinical pharmacy students with the theoretical and practical information needed to develop their logical, intellectual and clinical skills.
