Overview
The department is committed to excellence in women's health education, clinical training, and research. The department offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates basic knowledge with hands-on clinical experience, preparing medical students to handle a wide range of obstetrics and gynecology cases
Objectives :

Educational goals:
1. Recognize high-risk pregnancies, childbirth, and gynecological diseases, their magnitude, and their various causes, with emphasis on preventable and avoidable causes, and how to manage them.
2. Describe the principle of managing high-risk pregnancies, childbirth, and gynecology.
3. Interpret the gestational age of a pregnant woman through history taking, focused clinical examination, and laboratory tests for the initial diagnosis of high-risk pregnancies, childbirth, and gynecological diseases.
4. Develop a management plan for high-risk pregnancies, childbirth, and gynecology.
5. Contribute to facilitating constructive solutions to issues in group or team situations, either in a leadership role or as a member of a group.
6. Take responsibility for self-learning, and the ability to identify and utilize the means of finding new information or analytical techniques needed to accomplish tasks.
7. Optimal use of advanced information and communication resources to update knowledge, thereby improving teaching and patient care (e.g. journals, CD-ROMs, Internet).
8. Conduct clinical examination to identify and assess the risk of medical or obstetric complications/conditions in pregnant women, such as diabetes, heart disease, anemia, bleeding, hypertension, kidney and genital infections.
9. Perform routine obstetric and gynecologic exams.
