The department is distinguished locally and regionally in specialized doctrinal studies, qualifying research competencies, contributing to community service in the field of doctrine, religions and sects, and immunizing against intellectual deviations.
Mission
Preparing and graduating competent students qualified in Islamic doctrine and moderate thought, in accordance with comprehensive educational quality standards to meet the needs of society, the labor market, and scientific research.
Overview
The Department of Creed and Contemporary Doctrines is one of the seven scientific departments at the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies at Qassim University. The department was established with the establishment of the College of Shari`ah and Fundamentals of Religion at the then branch of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Qassim, then the name of the college was changed to the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies in 1431 AH, at Qassim University, which the royal decree was issued in 1424 AH to establish it from the branches of Imam University and King Saud University in Qassim region.The main scientific fields of specialization in the department are: Aqeedah, Religions, Teams, and Contemporary Doctrines.
Objectives :
1- Raising the level of learning and teaching in the department's various programs.
2- Achieving excellence and quality in the department's programs and obtaining national and international academic accreditation.
3- Contributing to meeting the needs of society and the labor market in the specialization of doctrine, contemporary doctrines and religions.
4- Contributing to the advancement of scientific research in the specialty of doctrine, religions and contemporary sects, and spreading the culture of knowledge in society.
5 - Spreading doctrinal awareness and moderate thought among students and community members.
6- Preparing graduates who are intellectually fortified against intellectual and doctrinal deviations.
7- Attracting distinguished competencies in the field of doctrine, religions and contemporary doctrines.
