An Overview

The Department of the Holy Quran and its Sciences is one of the seven scientific departments in the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies at Qassim University. The department was established with the establishment of the "College of Shari`ah and Fundamentals of Religion" at the branch of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Qassim, then the name of the college was changed to the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies in 1431 AH, at Qassim University, which was issued by the Royal Order in 1424 AH to establish it from the branches of Imam University and King Saud University in the Qassim region, the main scientific fields of specialization in the department are: The department has opened postgraduate programs for the master's and doctoral levels, and the department includes a number of rare scientific competencies in the specialization.

Objectives :

1- Serving the Book of Allah.
(2) Care and dissemination of the science of Qur'anic recitation and study.
3- Preparing scientifically qualified national cadres in specialization to work in the following fields:
- Teaching in public education.
- Teaching at charitable associations for memorizing the Quran and women's institutes.
- Teaching the science of recitation in Qur'anic memorization schools.
- Teaching in higher education.
- Qualifying specialists to pursue postgraduate studies.
- Qualifying researchers to serve the Quran in specialized centers.
