Vision
Providing distinguished education and graduating qualified cadres in the field of physics to meet the needs of society, providing a stimulating environment for research and creativity by applying modern technology and contributing to scientific progress to serve the local community in particular and humanity in general
Mission
The Department of Physics aspires to be a pioneer at the local, regional and international levels in the educational and research fields by providing advanced educational programs in various fields of physics; to graduate qualified physics specialists who are able to compete in the labor market and promote continuous self-learning and thus provide the community with scientific competencies and cadres trained in modern scientific techniques and conduct scientific research and studies to build a research and technological base as one of the requirements to advance the nation for its development and service.
Overview
The Department of Physics is one of the main scientific departments in the College of Science at Qassim University since its inception, where it plays a key role in providing high-quality educational and research programs that contribute to the preparation of qualified scientific cadres that meet the needs of the labor market and keep pace with modern developments in the fields of physics. The department was launched in 1418 AH and witnessed the graduation of the first batch of bachelor students in the academic year 1422/1423 AH. The department grants bachelor's and master's degrees in physics, and covers a variety of study programs in different fields of physics and includes a group of highly qualified faculty members with diverse research experience, who contribute to enriching the educational process and directing students towards scientific research and innovation, and the department contains educational and research laboratories that provide students with a practical learning environment that contributes to consolidating physics concepts and developing technical skills. The department's efforts culminated in the bachelor's program obtaining international academic accreditation from the German Accreditation Authority (ASIIN) in 2013, in addition to the local program accreditation from the Education and Training Assessment Authority (NCAAA) in 2022. The department seeks to support the scientific research process by publishing research in peer-reviewed journals, participating in national projects, and contributing to providing innovative scientific solutions in various fields such as energy, environment, advanced materials, and various technologies
Objectives :
1- Providing students with the basics of teamwork, self-development, professional ethics, and personal and societal responsibility.
2- Providing students with an appropriate level of knowledge of basic principles and theories in the field of physics as well as their applications in
Other fields of science and technology.
3- Providing students with appropriate experiential skills.
4- Developing students' abilities to apply mathematical principles in solving physical issues.
5- Developing students' ability to effectively synthesize and communicate any content related to their physics knowledge using
