The Educational Leadership PhD program started in the academic year 1442 A.H. - Reasons for establishing the program: I: Economic reasons: The economic growth resulting from the emergence of modern and diversified job structures and requirements in the Kingdom has many types of specialties suitable for these requirements, which requires educational institutions to work to prepare the economic environment through skills-based educational programs. The Educational Leadership Program aims to reach this goal through administrative cadres that focus on outcomes in the administrative fields based on planning, leadership, development, quality, and achieving the requirements of the labor market. Second: Social reasons: The educational leadership program contributes to the development of society through the development of educational institutions, which are responsible for developing their programs according to scientific foundations, which helps in meeting future aspirations and expectations in achieving societal development. Third: Technical developments: Contemporary technical developments constitute a modern system for the development of financial and administrative performance, which requires an institutional administrative system in educational institutions based on modern scientific methods. The educational leadership program helps the educational environment to develop such contemporary technical systems. Fourth: National policy developments: The development of policies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented in the National Transformation Program and the Saudi Vision 2030, makes it imperative for Saudi universities in general and Qassim University in particular to find programs that contribute to the development of the educational administrative environment that contribute to achieving this goal, and this applies to the educational leadership program, which aims to transform the learning environment into learning that focuses on building leadership skills and abilities to reach institutional excellence.
