Description:
To keep pace with the scientific developments that the Kingdom has witnessed in recent years and Vision 2030, one of its manifestations was the establishment of early childhood schools, which included the early childhood stage and the first three grades of the primary stage. The Department of Early Childhood was created to keep pace with the needs of the community as a department of the College of Education at Qassim University to prepare early childhood teachers to meet the needs of the community. The program aims to prepare highly qualified early childhood teachers who are able to meet the diverse needs of children, adapt to changes in teaching methods, and contribute to the professional development of in-service teachers.

I: Knowledge and understanding:
The student should be able to:
1- Clarifying teaching methods and means of evaluation in early childhood curricula.
2- Describe the roles of the teacher, family and society in light of Islamic values and the developmental characteristics of the child in the early childhood stage.
3- Explaining scientific concepts and terms, philosophical foundations, psychological and cognitive theories, and contemporary issues.
4- Clarifying scientific research procedures and methods in the field of childhood.
Secondly: Skills:
The student should be able to:
1- Applying appropriate health, psychological and educational methods to develop the linguistic, motor, religious, social and scientific skills of children in the early childhood stage.
2- Developing solutions to behavioral, psychological, health and educational issues related to the early childhood stage.
3- Designing activities and games in a learning environment that stimulates self-directed learning.
4- Effective use of communication skills in writing reports, formulating goals, and communicating with children.
