Description:
To keep pace with the scientific developments that the Kingdom has witnessed in recent years and Vision 2030, one of its manifestations was the establishment of early childhood schools, which included the early childhood stage and the first three grades of the primary stage, the Department of Early Childhood was created to meet the needs of the community as a department of the Faculty of Education at Qassim University with the aim of preparing early childhood teachers to meet the needs of the community and the program aims to prepare highly qualified early childhood teachers who are able to meet the diverse needs of children and adapt to changes in teaching methods and contribute to the professional development of teachers during the service

Learning outcomes :
Knowledge and understanding : The student should be able to
1- Clarifying teaching methods and means of evaluation in early childhood curricula.
2- Describe the roles of the teacher, family, and community in light of Islamic values and the child's developmental characteristics in the early childhood stage
3- Explaining scientific concepts and terms, philosophical foundations, psychological and cognitive theories, and contemporary issues
4- Clarifying the procedures and methods of scientific research in the field of childhood
Skills: The student should be able to
1- Applying appropriate health, psychological and educational methods to develop the linguistic, motor, religious, social and scientific skills of children in the early childhood stage.
2- Developing solutions to behavioral, psychological, health and educational issues related to the early childhood stage.
3- Designing activities and games in a learning environment that stimulates self-directed learning
4- Effective use of communication skills in writing reports, formulating goals, and communicating with children.
Values, independence and responsibility: Students should be able to
1- Commitment to professional ethics, labor laws and regulations in the field of early childhood education and community service.
2- Communicate and collaborate professionally with children and early childhood staff.
