An Overview
The Department of Operations Management is one of the vital departments within the College of Business and Economics, which specializes in training specialized cadres capable of planning, managing, and improving operational processes in various types of organizations, whether industrial or service. The department focuses on developing the knowledge and skills needed to understand supply chains, quality management, process analysis, and effective operational decision-making, while adopting the latest management methods and techniques to support business sustainability, efficiency, and organizational excellence. It covers topics such as: Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Academic Continuous Improvement. The department introduces the Operational Innovation Program and modern operations management techniques. The department works to enhance the applied aspects through practical projects, case studies, and partnerships with various business sectors, thus contributing to the preparation of highly competitive graduates in the labor market. Career opportunities for graduates of the department are varied and include fields such as: Production management, operational planning, logistics and supply chains, quality improvement, operations management in the health, banking and service sectors, in addition to working in management consulting companies.
