Description:
The Qassim region is one of the most densely populated regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and many batches have graduated from the Bachelor's program in Arabic language at the College of Languages and Humanities at Qassim University, in addition to those who hold a bachelor's degree from other colleges, as these graduates demand to complete their postgraduate studies in the master's program; therefore, the program was established in the academic year 14433/1434 H, and a program was updated in 14439/1440 H to allow them to complete their studies.

Educational goals :
The Master of Arts in Linguistic Studies program aims to:
1- Creating opportunities for scientific and research growth for students with a bachelor's degree.
2. Expanding the scope of linguistic studies to serve the Arabic language by deepening its roots as one of the most important sources of the nation's strength, thus contributing to the affirmation of the universality, strength and presence of this language.
3- Providing the student with a scientific approach in the specialization courses to help him learn by identifying, assimilating, balancing, criticizing and weighting on the basis of editing issues, principles, rules, terminology, cases and doctrines.
(4) Rationalizing studies in the fields of grammar, morphology, linguistics, philology and linguistics, linking the researcher to the sources of Arab heritage, and familiarizing and absorbing contemporary analytical and critical studies on the issues and problems of the specialty.
Learning outcomes :
1) A brief description of the knowledge to be acquired:
- Have knowledge of facts, concepts, procedures and theories in the field of linguistics and Arabic heritage.
- Be familiar with the latest theories in the field of linguistic study and their implications and link them to heritage.
- To be able to acquire scientific knowledge that helps him solve his issues.
2- The cognitive skills to be developed and the expected level of performance:
- Apply creative thinking skills and provide unconventional and innovative solutions to language issues.
- Utilize quantitative and descriptive assessment skills in scientific research in the field of language.
- Analyze, extrapolate and interpret the results and make recommendations to improve and develop linguistic concepts.
3- Characterization of the level of interpersonal skills and the ability to take responsibility:
- Commitment to scientific honesty, neutrality and justice in judging linguistic issues.
- Take responsibility for continuous self-learning.
- Collective participation and collaboration.
- Respond responsibly in personal and professional situations.

4- Characterization of the communication skills and use of numerical information technology to be developed
- Oral and written communication in research assignments.
