His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, met today, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, with public and private university students and trainees of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in the region, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center at the University City of Qassim University, in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of Qassim Region, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharkh, and a number of university education leaders in the region.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University welcomed His Highness the Emir of the Region and His Highness his Deputy, emphasizing that the education sector in the region takes pride and boasts in His Highness's support, keenness, encouragement, and presence at the start of the academic year, which reflects the keenness of the wise leadership—may God protect them—to support education and address the needs of its affiliates.
And His Royal Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim Region expressed his happiness at meeting the students and educational institution personnel, congratulating them on the start of the new academic year, and said: “I rejoice today in being among you, congratulating and blessing this new academic year, and it pleases me to meet the professors, faculty members, university staff, and male and female students at this university, which is the mother of universities and embraces everyone, praying to Almighty God to grant everyone success.”.
During his speech, HH the Emir of Qassim conveyed to the students the care and hope of our wise leadership—may God protect them—regarding educational outcomes, which are the true fuel for this country and for everything that contributes to its development and ensures its youth attain the ranks of dedicated competencies in the labor market.
His Highness emphasized that such meetings on occasions of honoring and graduation provide us with a great motivation to meet, exchange views, and listen to the opinions of faculty members, male and students, advising everyone to fear Allah and to take this mission with the utmost seriousness. He pointed out that in the past, education consisted of curricula and notes reviewed by students, but now sciences, curriculum innovations, educational methods, building the personality of the male and female student, and building trust with the teacher have all evolved. We must adopt all these new methods, including distance learning courses, utilizing social media, and other modern tools.
And His Highness said: “The developments of the era have changed from the past, and we must keep pace with these changes in the means, methods, and ways of education, in order to reach the best capabilities and qualifications to keep pace with the times, because you are the hope of this country and the hope of our wise leadership—my lord, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may God protect them—and what the country aspires for its sons and daughters to see them advancing, God willing.” He emphasized that receiving the male and female students who win in international conferences or scientific gatherings outside the Kingdom, and encouraging and motivating them, is conclusive proof that the wise leadership gives the sector its utmost attention.
His Highness the Emir of Al-Qassim pointed out that the Education Council in the region's emirate brings together public, university, and private education sectors, as well as technical training, and works to discuss developments and issues related to the educational system, emphasizing the keenness to make the Al-Qassim region an attractive educational environment for high achievers.
