His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, congratulated the university on its global achievement, winning first place globally in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS Prizes 2026) through the QSpark project, which excelled among the best global projects in the e-learning category.
His Highness praised the university's global presence, which reflects the support and attention the education system in the Kingdom receives from the wise leadership (may God protect them). He affirmed that this achievement is added to the record of national successes that enhance the Kingdom's position in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim Region praised the efforts of the university administration and its members, and the qualitative work they are doing that contributed to achieving this international accomplishment. He pointed out that competing with a select group of international projects and winning first place reflects the competence of national cadres and their ability to present innovative educational models with global impact.
It is reported that the QSpark project is an AI-powered smart educational platform that offers a personalized learning experience and predictive analytics to support student performance. It qualified for the final stage among the top five projects globally out of 90 projects, before achieving first place in the World Summit on the Information Society Awards for 2026.
