His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, sponsored today, Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Digital Transformation Forum. The forum was organized by the Deanship of E-learning and Information Technology, with the aim of highlighting the university's digital transformation experience, its achievements, and its impact on improving the quality of services. The event was attended by the university's vice presidents, at the King Abdulaziz Center for Conferences in the University City.
During his patronage of the forum, His Excellency the University President opened the accompanying exhibition, which includes a number of booths. These booths showcased the fields of digital transformation and innovation at the university. They aimed to highlight the role of technology and digital transformation in developing services, improving user experience, supporting innovation, and enhancing institutional performance efficiency, in line with national digital transformation trends. A number of entities from within and outside the university participated.
The Dean of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Bahlai, reviewed the university's achievements in digital transformation during 2025. He presented a brief digital presentation reflecting the scale of digital activity in various university departments and its impact on improving institutional performance and enhancing user experience.
Al-Bahli pointed to what has been achieved in the areas of digital site efficiency, development of services and platforms, and strengthening integration with government platforms, in addition to the development of the e-learning system and educational innovation supported by an advanced digital infrastructure and an operating and cybersecurity system that contributed to the sustainability of the university's digital excellence.
As part of the forum's activities, a workshop was held entitled «Accelerating Software Development Using"Kiro CLI from Amazon,» and aimed to enable participants to use AI tools to accelerate cloud software development, improve software quality, and troubleshoot bugs, through practical applications in environments AWSin the presence of a number of specialists and university students.
Another workshop was held that focused on enabling participants to use generative artificial intelligence through Microsoft Copilot Chatand transforming it into an intelligent assistant supporting educational endeavors, as part of the university's efforts to enhance digital transformation and foster innovation in the educational environment.
