Qassim University Medical City has successfully performed the first surgery of its kind at the university hospital to adjust the scoliosis of a 19-year-old patient, in a medical achievement that reflects the development of the specialized services provided at the hospital.
The Director of the University Hospital, Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Abu Al-Khail, explained that the case underwent careful clinical evaluations and advanced radiological examinations, through an integrated medical team working according to the highest approved medical standards, where it was decided to perform surgical intervention to modify the deviation.
The operation was successfully performed by spine surgery consultant Dr. Abdullah Al-Saeed, with the participation of the anesthesia team and the support of a specialized nursing staff, and resulted - thanks to God's grace - in the adjustment of scoliosis and spinal straightening with full preservation of the integrity of the spinal cord.
This operation is part of a series of qualitative and advanced operations performed at Qassim University Medical City, which confirms the readiness of the hospital and its ability to receive and treat complex cases in the field of spine surgery, reflecting the continuous development in the level of health services provided and the university's support for the specialized health sector.
