Qassim University

Qassim University, represented by the College of Arts and Designs, will hold a conference on "Handicrafts in the Era of Digital Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges", in conjunction with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 23-24, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the University City.

The conference aims to highlight the importance of handicrafts by highlighting their cultural and economic value and their role in preserving the national identity, in addition to exploring the challenges and opportunities in light of the rapid digital transformation, and putting forward visions that contribute to the development of handicrafts by employing modern technologies to increase productivity, enhance competitiveness and sustainability of this vital sector.

The conference will address several topics, most notably: Handicrafts and artificial intelligence, employing modern technology to enhance production and quality, developing small and medium enterprises to achieve sustainable development, digital marketing of handicrafts, and business incubators and their role in supporting artisans.
