On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Qassim University, represented by the College of Education, held a celebration on the occasion of World Teacher's Day, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, and in the presence of His Excellency the university vice presidents and affiliates, with the participation of a number of male and female researchers in the educational field, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city.
His Excellency the President of the University attended the ceremony held on this occasion and viewed the accompanying exhibition, which included corners that included research posters dealing with topics in professional and educational development, in addition to the participation of a number of schools and associations in the region.
For his part, His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, stressed in the university's speech at the celebration that our wise leadership, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may Allah protect them - pays great care and attention to teachers and education, which had an impact in supporting teachers and developing their skills, modernizing educational infrastructure, launching community education initiatives, providing education and training opportunities for all segments of society, indicating that this strengthened investment in the human element to race against time to achieve the goals of Vision 2030, which is the most important objective of the UAE's vision.
He added that the university celebrates the teacher because he is the axis of the learning process and all its ribs, and believes that its role is still extended to maintain and develop every year, and that this honor is its contribution to the education system in embracing the competencies of teachers and that this is the way towards the advancement of education and ensuring its effectiveness.
The university's events included a symposium entitled "Teacher Roles in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," in addition to scientific papers and a number of training courses, including curriculum design and teaching models in light of AI applications, the role of the teacher as a leader for social change and sustainable development, the role of the classroom teacher in cooperation with the special education specialist and parents, in addition to several distance training courses, presented by a number of university faculty members.
