His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, sponsored yesterday evening, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the closing ceremony of the eighth summer club, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs over 4 weeks, during which it presented more than 470 activities in 11 tracks, benefiting 45053 male and female beneficiaries of in-person and virtual programs, in the presence of the Vice Presidents, members of the University Council, university employees and parents of the participants, at the Olympic Sports Complex in the University City, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Presidents and members of the University Council.
The UQU President praised the quality programs and events offered by the club, which contributed significantly to the development of students' skills and talents in various educational stages and combined scientific and cultural enrichment and physical activity for different age groups. He stressed that these efforts reflect the pioneering community role of the university in developing the skills and knowledge of the sons and daughters of the region, investing their time during the summer vacation, and making optimal use of the time of male and female students in general and university education, asking Allah to grant them success in serving their religion, leadership, and homeland, asking Him to grant them success in serving their religion, their leadership, and their homeland.
During the ceremony, the UQU President and the attendees witnessed a visual film about the eighth summer club, which included 11 tracks, namely the national track, intellectual security, skill track, entrepreneurial and innovative track, educational track, entertainment track, technical track, social and community track, competitive track, cultural and linguistic track, sports track, artistic and creative track, which were offered to a number of groups, including participants of the summer club, Hewayat program for university students, Kingdom of Giving program for international students, and Afaq program for virtual programs, presented by more than 100 participants, and benefited from its programs.
This club is based on the Saudi Vision 2030, and Qassim University's belief in implementing the programs of its strategic plan to support youth, direct their talents and minds to serve their future and the future of this country, and preserve and invest their time in a way that will benefit them.
