This document is a guide and timeline for events “Global Quality Week” For the year 1446 AH (2024 AD), organized by the College of Sharia at Qassim University, represented by the Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs and the Development and Quality Unit. The program extends over five days from 22 to 26 Jumada al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to November 24 to 28, 2024 AD.

The purpose of the document

The document aims to provide a comprehensive roadmap for outreach and scientific activities geared towards fostering a culture of quality and academic excellence within the college.. It also primarily focuses on highlighting “programmatic accreditation” as a tool for development and sustainability, and clarifying the roles assigned to the various college staff to achieve national and international quality standards..

The main themes covered by the program

The event themes vary to encompass quality aspects from multiple angles, as follows:

• Developing teaching staffThrough a panel discussion on the role of faculty in continuous improvement.
• Academic Merit and ExcellenceThe scientific meeting addressed the concept of program accreditation as a path to excellence and sustainability, in addition to presenting the plan of the College Deanship for Academic Affairs and the Quality Unit.
• Benchmarks and comparisonsDiscussion of the importance of performance indicators and benchmarks in measuring the quality of outputs.
• Connecting scientific research to global rankingsReviewing the impact of scientific research and program accreditation on raising the university's global ranking.
• National CalendarHosting experts from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation to discuss Sharia science programs.

Target audience

The program targets all components of the university community in the College of Sharia to ensure the comprehensiveness of the development process:

3. EmployeesThrough a workshop dedicated to explaining their managerial role in the programmatic accreditation journey.

The document includes motivational competitions to support creativity, encompassing the best article, design, and departmental event, with an electronic link provided for submissions by Thursday, 26-5-1446 AH.. All these activities are implemented through the “Virtual Platform” to ensure they reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries..
