The Summer Club held a workshop entitled "The Role of Youth in Achieving Vision 2030" at the University City in Al-Malidah on Sunday afternoon, 16/11/1439 AH, as part of the cultural activities that targeted the members of the Summer Club, which is organized by the university this year with the aim of introducing youth to their future role towards the aspirations of the wise government of the Kingdom - may Allah protect it - which strives to achieve progress in various fields, so that Saudi Arabia is at the forefront at the regional and global levels.
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Ajlan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education at the College of Education and Vice Dean of Student Affairs at the university. He reviewed the main pillars of Vision 2030 and how they can be achieved on the ground, and listened to the opinions of the youth participating in the workshop and their aspirations towards their homeland.
At the beginning of the workshop, Al-Ajlan reviewed the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - in which he said: "My first goal is for our country to be a successful and leading model in the world at all levels, and I will work with you to achieve this," in addition to the speech of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in which he expressed the importance of youth, saying: "We rely on the youth to achieve Vision 2030, and we aspire for our country to be a leading model." After that, Al-Ajlan reviewed the three axes, where important points were addressed in the role of youth, such as scientific fields, academic specialties, social media and how to exploit them for the renaissance of society.
The course also discussed the qualities of a successful youth and how to use these qualities to achieve the National Vision 2030, in addition to the importance of initiative, positive thinking, and avoiding negativity in order to achieve success at the personal and national levels. The role of the vision in encouraging saving and saving for individuals, especially youth, and urging them to be creative and productive instead of needy and safe instead of secure.
The workshop provided a range of methods that enable youth to realize the importance of their role in the future and define their goals through direct delivery, group discussion and activities that reflected positively on the participants.
At the end of the workshop, it was emphasized that life has value and flourishes when young people have the ability to invest their abilities and potential, and achieving this requires confidence, ambition, optimism and knowledge: Confidence, ambition, optimism and knowledge.
The university's summer club holds many useful courses and workshops for students, such as; "Citizenship and Enhancing Intellectual Security" course, basic skills in English language, common spelling mistakes, and many courses that have been chosen to benefit students in the summer vacation, in addition to having fun, as the 30-day club is scheduled to continue until next Thursday, God willing.
