The program of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies received academic accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, in an achievement that is the first at the level of the Kingdom, as the program achieved the quality standards approved by the Education Evaluation Commission, through a set of procedures followed since the accreditation project took effect on 1 Muharram 1437 H. This accreditation indicates that the college and its outputs have reached the competence and skill that meet the ambitions and aspirations of academic legitimate education, as well as research excellence combining originality and modernity to prepare qualified competencies knowledgeably and skillfully, using the finest scientific and technical methods, to meet the needs of society Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Abulkhail, Dean of the College of Shari`ah, expressed his happiness about this achievement, stressing that academic accreditation is a "long-awaited dream" for an ancient college whose chronological age exceeds more than forty years, and the number of its employees exceeds more than seven thousand male and female students on a modern academic accreditation, which means without a doubt that exceptional and extraordinary efforts have worked until this accreditation was achieved. This accreditation was not the result of a specific period of time, but rather the college is reaping the fruits of a good planting that was planted years ago. He prayed to Allah to make this accreditation a blessing for the college and its affiliates, and to grant everyone success in serving the Shari'ah. He added that the college has been working on three pillars throughout its long life: the educational process, scientific research, and community service. As for its efforts in these pillars, they were done through great professors who combined solid knowledge and educational skill, as some of them spent more than forty years busy with science, and in scientific research, it is enough to know that the college has allocated a corner of the college building for the scientific output of its professors In the field of community service, the professors of the college were distributed in all community activities, voluntary associations, development centers, boards of directors of scientific centers, and an active presence in awareness, guidance and education. It is noteworthy that the importance of academic accreditation in the accreditation of the Shari`ah program helps in providing greater opportunities for the graduates of the program in the labor market, especially the Ministry of Justice, which pays great attention to accreditation and follows the developments of Shari`ah programs in the Kingdom and their interaction with academic accreditation, taking into account that academic work is conducted according to an effective system that develops the educational process, encourages scientific research, increases cooperation and social interaction among program members, develops self-discipline for workers, spreads positive values and tolerant moderation and rejects negative attitudes in society, increases students' motivation and motivates them to learn, prevails the principle of learning, and spreads the principle of
