The tenth edition of the annual Qassim Dental Scientific Forum, organized by Qassim University for dental students, students, dentists and recent graduates in the Kingdom, will kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 Rajab 1439 AH, under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, which aims to develop the seeds of communication and exchange between dental students in the Kingdom, and to raise the awareness of university students and affiliates of the importance of taking care of oral health. It aims to develop the seeds of communication and scientific exchange between dental students in the Kingdom, and to raise awareness among students and university affiliates of the importance of oral and dental health care through discussion sessions and scientific lectures, including educational lectures, student presentations, scientific posters, and accompanying exhibitions, under comprehensive student management from the students of the College of Dentistry at Qassim University.
The forum witnesses a remarkable annual development in terms of scientific presentation or attracting dental students as well as Saudi and international speakers in order to advance the knowledge of the dental community in the Kingdom, and through a distinguished national scientific and research forum that targets dental students and doctors to provide a scientifically fertile environment and create a spirit of honorable competition in the dental community with the mission of organizing and hosting a unique and distinguished national forum that targets students and doctors to raise the dental community scientifically and research by presenting the scientific and research basis and holding workshops for professional development.
The forum also seeks to equip male and female students with many administrative and practical skills, instill the spirit of leadership and teamwork in the presidents and organizing members of male and female students, enhance the scientific level and creative research values, enrich the student academic scene in the Kingdom, publish scientific and research production, instill and promote the values of honorable scientific competition, promote oral and dental health culture, build bridges of scientific communication among dental students in the Kingdom by hosting local and international speakers, support emerging Saudi companies by including them as sponsors in the organization, hospitality, equipment, visits and activation of heritage.
The work tasks were divided to the organizing committees, namely the registration committee, which is responsible for creating a database to register attendees at the forum, printing and distributing name cards on time and sending attendance certificates to participants, and the workshop committee, which works to select speakers for the workshops accompanying the forum with the council and select a location to hold the workshops and provide them.
Scientific programs targeting male and female students and newly graduated dentists have been designed to enhance the scientific and social aspect, and what concerns their scientific and professional future, and a competition for presentations and scientific posters for research in order to urge students to research and advance science in the field and enhance confidence in themselves to participate internationally, and hold accompanying workshops on the evening of the forum, which consists of 5 workshops, including specialized in the field, and the exhibition is accompanied by events that concern medical students, which will host medical supplies and clothing, modern libraries, and student clubs.
