In light of the government's move towards digital transformation to achieve Vision 2030, the College of Computing activated its partnership with Oracle through open day events to activate its training programs and services. The orientation of the College of Computing towards expanding the field of e-training to spread the culture of self-education and train students and faculty members on the latest technologies required in the labor market in the field of databases and programming to enhance career paths with study plans to raise the level of male and female students and link their outputs to the requirements of the Saudi labor market. During the event, a visual presentation was made on how to activate a special account for each student and faculty member in the Oracle Academy website and how to provide e-learning programs and courses for this academy based on the latest technologies, and contribute to achieving the principle of continuous training and self-training for the student to practice what he learned in the classroom on the Academy's global website. The event was attended by His Excellency the Dean of the College, all faculty members, students, and a representative of Oracle.
For his part, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Computing, Dr. Walid bin Saleh Al-Battah, expressed his happiness about the partnership with the private sector and said: "Oracle is one of the leading companies in the field of information technology in the field of databases and programming, and this is one of the steps that the college is trying to take confidently to cooperate with the private sector, which is a qualitative and new technical leap in the history of the college and we aspire to more soon, God willing." His Excellency pointed out that this cooperation would contribute to the rehabilitation and service of male and female students of determination. He pointed out that such an initiative is within the directives of His Excellency the UQU President and His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs in providing everything that will develop the educational process.
