His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, inspected the headquarters of the Deanship of Information Technology to review the nature of the workflow and get a closer look at the "Injaz" report prepared for the period from 09/07/1438 H to 09/03/1439 H. The report contained a summary of what was accomplished during this period in a detailed manner. The figures reflect the volume of work and production and correspond to the amount of support that the IT department receives from His Excellency the President because it is the real gateway to the university, which is concerned with the administrative, educational and technical aspects.
Dr. Adel bin Abdullah Al-Arini, Dean of the Deanship of Information Technology, at the beginning of the meeting, welcomed the UQU President and Vice President, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the keenness of the university leaders to support the process of technological development in all university dealings.
During the visit, the officials of the departments and programs reviewed the recent achievements of the Deanship of Information Technology and the modern applications used that provided a secure and controllable information environment. The Director and his companions listened to the explanation of the e-transactions unit, through which the Deanship of Information Technology seeks to obtain ISO certificates (27001-22301-2000) concerned with information security and business continuity crowned with total quality, in addition to the availability of all information and data, administrative and financial follow-up for transactions inside and outside the Deanship, as well as the follow-up of contractors' affairs through the "Dawami" program.
 The Technical Affairs Department, which specializes in operating applications, explained how to perform synchronized performance with the flowing information and the amount of work completed through the "Injaz" program, which ends with backups and full valid software licenses from the Education Development Company, as well as working on upgrading and improving the Wi-Fi network of the General Administration building and completing the installation of the firewall, in order to secure the safe environment according to the mechanisms and systems for protecting information and preserving it against any acts of sabotage or hacking, where the process of developing the intruder protection system was completed, which targeted countries from which repeated attacks come through the technical initiative and protection.
For his part, the UQU President emphasized the importance of working in a team spirit, which often has positive fruits, pointing out that he felt this spirit during the effective meeting with the Saudi youth staff, whom the country is proud to have in leadership positions, especially in information security and modern technology, stressing that the Saudi employee is able to lead the technical rudder to safety, but his Excellency noted that this is not racism in any way, but what is required by the recommendations and directives of the wise leadership.
Mr. Al-Dawood interacted with the interventions that dealt with ways to solve the dilemmas that some may face in the work environment with other entities in the university, stressing the need to take care of students in the university dormitory and provide Internet service that conforms to information security and protection in accordance with the direction of the government, which established "Cyber Security" to protect networks and IT systems, as well as protect technology systems and their components, including hardware and software, thus protecting networks and the data they contain.
Al-Dawood expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the leaders of the Deanship of Information Technology and all its employees, and praised the qualitative value he witnessed in the performance and style of work with an integrated team spirit in providing what is expected from each one according to his position and tasks.
