His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, accompanied by the CEO of Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), Dr. Khaled bin Hassan Al-Bayari, inaugurated the STC lab yesterday evening, where the lab was equipped by the company, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties to enhance aspects of cooperation between them, with the aim of honing the skills of students and raising their scientific and professional level.

Following the opening of the lab, Al-Dawood toured the college's student projects exhibition to view the most prominent innovations and projects carried out by undergraduate students, accompanied by Al-Bayari, who gave an encouraging speech to the students, urging them to learn about the latest innovations of modern science, and listened to their inquiries about the telecommunications company and ways to benefit from the lab.

Al-Dawood emphasized that the university seeks through partnerships with many government and private bodies to connect, train and qualify male and female students for the labor market, which is one of the most prominent strategies of Saudi Vision 2030, pointing out that the partnership with STC comes within this framework, which serves the student to serve his religion and country, praising at the same time the efforts of the college in establishing such partnerships.

For his part, "Al-Bayari" met with the students of the College of Engineering and urged them to have three important elements for success in their lives, namely that each of them has a clear goal that he seeks to reach, as well as planning to reach the goals, in addition to commitment and discipline, by walking to the goal, indicating that these three elements may lead a person to success in his career, explaining that the university is the beginning and not the end of the road, as it lays the basic building blocks for the personality, stressing the importance of scientific achievement, and advised students to expand their thinking to succeed and promote ideas and creativity, wishing them success in their scientific and practical lives.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Fahad Al-Mufadhi, explained that the lab is designed with the latest methods to keep pace with the reality of telecommunications, in order to provide a clear and practical vision for students, through an integrated system of fiber optic and microwave communication devices, as they were linked to eight computers, and expressed his thanks to the STC Director for this initiative, and his participation with students, motivating them, instilling self-confidence in them, and guiding them to the right path in their academic and practical lives, thus establishing an integrative model between the university and the telecommunications company (STC).
