UQU President inaugurates "Fashion and Art with Vision 2030" exhibition at the College of Designs and Home Economics

His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, yesterday, Tuesday, opened the "Fashion and Art with Vision 2030" exhibition, organized by the College of Designs and Home Economics in Buraidah. He toured the exhibition booths, which featured paintings, fashion, and artistic pieces created by the college's female students. His Excellency expressed his admiration for the exhibition's contents and the artistic talent of the students, as reflected in their participating works.

The exhibition included several art sections where students presented works in the fields of drawing, painting, printing, foundations of design and composition with oil colors, material synthesis, in addition to Arabic and ornamental calligraphy compositions, sculpture and ceramics, textile works, wood carving, and new designs in advertising art. They also presented their vision on the foundations of hand embroidery and fashion and accessories design. A workshop accompanying the exhibition was also held, titled "Outdoor Drawing.".

Dr. Fatima Al-Freihi, the Dean of the College, affirmed that the students, through this exhibition and its displays, sought to express their belief that fashion and art are tools for raising citizens' awareness. This aids in strengthening the nation's future vision and contributes to developing the plans, strategies, and programs through which the goals of Vision 2030 in the Kingdom can be achieved. She indicated that current-generation female students are participating in offering new insights to activate the concept of beauty, stemming from their belief in their role in contributing to the nation's present and future.
