UQU President inaugurates "Fashion and Art with Vision 2030" exhibition at the College of Designs and Home Economics

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, inaugurated the "Fashion and Art with Vision 2030" exhibition organized by the College of Designs and Home Economics in Buraidah. He inspected the corners of the exhibition, which included paintings, costumes and antiques made by the college students, and expressed his admiration for the contents of the exhibition and the artistic talent of the female students, as reflected in their works participating in the exhibition.

The exhibition contained several artistic sections in which students presented works in the field of painting, photography, printing, the basics of design and composition in oil colors, and the synthesis of materials, in addition to Arabic and decorative calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics, textile work, woodcarving, and new designs in advertising art. They also presented their vision on the basics of hand embroidery, fashion and accessories design, and an accompanying workshop entitled "Painting in the Open Air" was held in conjunction with the exhibition.

Dr. Fatima Al-Furaihi, Dean of the College, confirmed that the students tried in this exhibition and through these exhibits to express their belief that fashion and art is a tool for developing awareness among citizens, helping to support the future vision of the country, and contributing to the development of plans, strategies and programs that can achieve the goals of Vision 2030 in the Kingdom, pointing out that the students of the current generation participate in providing new visions to activate the concept of beauty based on their belief in their role in participating in the present and future of the country.
