His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim, has directed that Qassim University be an incubator for Silicon Valley in the region, as part of strengthening the region's position as a center for technological innovation and leadership in the fields of technology and digital transformation.
His Highness emphasized that this directive stems from the vision of the wise leadership that seeks to achieve technical and economic transformation in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, pointing out the importance of the university's role in supporting innovation and technical entrepreneurship by incubating young talents and providing the appropriate environment to develop ideas and transform them into technical and economic projects that serve the nation.
His Highness also stressed the importance of integrating efforts between government and private entities to achieve the initiative's goals and enhance the region's role as a destination for attracting technology investments and stimulating the digital economy.
For his part, His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Emir for his continuous support for the university and its initiatives, stressing that the university will work to provide all the necessary capabilities to turn this project into a concrete reality that contributes to the development of the technical infrastructure and the creation of quality investment opportunities.
The directive comes as a strategic step towards strengthening the position of Qassim as a center of technical excellence and innovation, which supports sustainable development and contributes to building a strong knowledge economy.
