His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, inspected the regularity of work progress in the implementation of the ongoing construction of the University City project in Unaiza Governorate, and assured him of the regularity of work on the project and the commitment of the implementing companies to the specifications and timelines agreed upon to hand over the site on time.
In its current phase, the project includes the construction of the "public site and faculty housing" on an area of more than one million and 809 thousand square meters at a total estimated cost of more than 305 million and 152 thousand riyals, which constitutes a qualitative leap to develop the colleges of Unaiza and its university facilities, which will reflect a positive impact on the governorate of Unaiza and its citizens.
His Excellency inspected the ongoing construction operations, which include the construction of fences, main and subsidiary gates, and settlements, in addition to the rest of the general site works, which include roads, asphalt, walkways, parking lots, and other services.
His Excellency also followed the ongoing construction of the faculty members' housing project, the first phase of which consists of 108 residential villas with a variety of models on areas ranging from 412 to 537 square meters per villa, including a two-story residential building.
It is noteworthy that the UQU President met with the students of the university branch in Unaiza Governorate, which includes several existing colleges that receive students from the governorate and neighboring areas, namely the colleges of science and arts (male and female students) and the colleges of engineering and society for students, in addition to the colleges of medicine and pharmacy for male and female students.
