The university signed an agreement today, Sunday, December 29, 2024, with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to support innovators in the fields of industry and mining. This took place during the “Future of Industrial and Mining Innovation” event, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Planning and Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ahmari, and His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharkh, witnessed the signing of the agreement, which aims to support innovators as a step towards enhancing industrial and mining innovation, within the framework of the “Innovative Industrial and Mineral Products” program launched by the ministry today.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Jameel Qattan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Planning and Strategic Performance, and His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Waleed bin Saleh Al-Bataah, during the program's launching ceremony at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to transform ideas into innovative industrial products and provide integrated services through the “Innovative Industrial and Mining Products” platform. It also aims to offer specialized technical and strategic consulting, connect innovators with investors and supporting entities, promote innovation in the industrial and mining sectors, and support integration between the academic, industrial, and mining sectors.
